2οΈβ£ weeks to go! See y'all at !
For three days, a part of Dahilayan will become a temporary community built around vehicles, tents, shared meals, open roads, and the belief that the journey can be just as meaningful as the destination.
Born To Roam: RoamFest Bukidnon 2026 is set to gather approximately 200 car campers and more than 400 participants from July 10 to 12, 2026, in Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.
The event is primarily intended for overlanders, car campers, outdoor enthusiasts, road-trip groups, families, tourism operators, camping communities, and travelers interested in experiencing a more independent and nature-centered way of exploring the country.
Overlanding generally refers to vehicle-based travel in which participants carry their own camping equipment and essential supplies, allowing them to travel, stay overnight, and explore destinations with greater independence.
Unlike an ordinary motor show, RoamFest is not built solely around modified vehicles or elaborate camping setups. It is designed as a gathering where travelers can camp together, exchange experiences, discover equipment and destinations, support local enterprises, and build connections with people who share an appreciation for travel and the outdoors.
The event can also serve people who are still beginning to explore the camping lifestyle. First-time campers, families looking for a different kind of weekend, couples seeking an outdoor escape, and travelers interested in learning about vehicle-based adventures can experience the community without necessarily being seasoned off-road drivers.
RoamFest is an initiative of Born to Roam PH, a community that began with a small group of overlanding hobbyists and gradually developed into a nationwide network of travelers, campers, outdoor families, and adventure enthusiasts.
Its first Roam Fest was held in Bacolod City in October 2025, bringing together overlanders from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The gathering was envisioned not simply as a camping event but as a continuing movement promoting responsible travel, environmental appreciation, camaraderie, and the discovery of emerging camping destinations across the Philippines.
The Bukidnon edition places this growing outdoor community in Dahilayan, one of Northern Mindanaoβs recognized highland tourism areas. Its cool climate, mountain environment, established tourism activity, and accessibility to travelers from Cagayan de Oro and other parts of Mindanao make it a fitting location for a large-scale camping and overlanding gathering.
Beyond its recreational value, RoamFest Bukidnon is expected to generate opportunities for local concessionaires, accommodation establishments, food providers, tour operators, tourism enterprises, equipment suppliers, and other businesses serving participants throughout the three-day event.
Preparations are underway as representatives from the RoamFest organizing team, tour operators, the Manolo Fortich Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc., the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office, and the Municipal Tourism Office coordinate the eventβs operational requirements.
Among the matters being addressed are the participation and management of concessionaires, campsite and visitor movement, coordination among participating groups, and the establishment of an organized workflow intended to provide a safe and convenient experience for campers and guests.
The expected arrival of hundreds of participants also gives Manolo Fortich an opportunity to introduce visitors not only to Dahilayanβs established attractions but also to local food, businesses, accommodations, communities, and other tourism experiences within the municipality.
More than a weekend spent beside parked vehicles and pitched tents, RoamFest Bukidnon represents a growing form of travel built around self-reliance, community, respect for nature, and the freedom to explore places at a slower and more personal pace.
