MY VERSION OF TRACK TALK
Every race has always been a special experience for my son and I, not only because of the competition, but because of the friendships, joy, and sense of community we have found along the way.
However, there are moments when provocation can cause us to react in ways that do not reflect how we were raised or the values and respect we strive to instill in our children. I sincerely regret my unbecoming behavior. As a mother, it was difficult for me to remain calm when my 6year old son told me he was being mocked by an adult deliberately provoking by sticking her tongue out at him, just because his son championed over my son. Still, what transpired cannot be justified.
To all the children, especially my favorite pushbike kids. Tita is truly sorry. You deserve to see adults respond with kindness, patience, and self-control, even during difficult moments. I hope this can also serve as a lesson that we must always choose grace and respect, no matter the circumstances.
We have chosen to move forward, to forgive, forget, and let go and let God.
To our loving pushbike community, especially the parents who have become dear friends, thank you for your comfort, understanding, and support. At Ride8, we value every child, parent, and family. May this community continue to be a place where children grow in confidence, families grow closer, and friendships become stronger.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for understanding. 🤍
