1. The first carwash business was opened in 1914, in Detroit. It was called the ‘Automated Laundry’. It wasn’t automated at all it involved a good old bucket and sponge. The first semi automatic carwash didn’t come about until 1946 – also in Detroit.
2. Most Expensive Car Wash: The Abu Dhabi National Auto Museum offers the world's priciest car wash at around $99,000, including thorough cleaning, polishing, and a special wax application.
3. Guinness World Record: The record for the most cars washed in an hour by a team is 1,449 cars, achieved by Autobell Car Wash in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, in 2017.
