The LausGroup of Companies is considered the largest multi-brand network in the Philippines today, a highly diversified conglomerate with automotive dealership as its core business.
Its founder, Levy P. Laus, a well-known public and private sector leader, was named one of 33 most influential people in the automotive industry of the Philippines in 2018. It was the latest accolade the top businessman, dubbed as a countryside taipan, had received on top of countless awards and recognitions as a business and corporate leader.
One of the most admired and trusted companies in Metro Manila, Central and Northern Luzon, the LausGroup began as a small allied subdealer of automobiles established in 1978 under the name Carworld.
Now on its 41st year, the company initially had a spartan office in the then capital town, now city, of San Fernando, Pampanga, ran and managed by a small group of five people led by Mr. Laus himself. Through his hard work, foresight and hands-on leadership, Laus steered the company through tough times and acquired several dealerships to support the business' rapid and dramatic expansion.
The small allied subdealer eventually became the flagship company of a bigger LausGroup conglomerate which has flourished into a large network of more than 65 automotive dealerships located across Metro Manila, Central and Northern Luzon. The group currently is a dealer of automobile brands namely, Mitsubishi, Ford, Hyundai, Chevrolet, BMW, Volkswagen, Jeep, Peugeot, Kia, MINI, Mazda, Nissan, Suzuki, Foton, Haima and Changhe. To date, the LausGroup remains the biggest and fastest growing auto dealership in the country with over 2,200 employees.
Apart from its eclectic auto dealerships, the Laus Group is also now a dealer of trucks and buses carrying Hyundai, Fuso and Foton brands as well as motorcycle brands BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson and soon Aprilla, Motoguzzi and Vespa.
Growing alongside the company's successful dealership network is Carmix, which was founded almost at the same time as Carworld, Inc. For more than three decades, Carmix built and maintained its reputation as the market's trusted source of quality pre-owned cars at affordable price points. The company also offers trade-in options and auto financing assistance on all its vehicles which include most brands and popular models.

The LGC baton has been passed on to Ms. Lisset A. Laus Velasco, the patriarch's eldest daughter who has been elevated as its new Chairman and CEO following the founder's untimely demise recently.
Ms. Velasco, the former LGC executive vice president, has vowed that his father's legacy will continue for LGC.

To complement the dynamic growth of its auto dealership, LausGroup diversified into other businesses bringing with it the same dedication to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Part of the conglomerate's operations is Corporate Guarantee, a non-life insurance company initiated by Laus in 1997 which offers motor, fire, personal accident, casualty, marine and bonds insurance products. Corporate Guarantee belongs to the top non-life insurance companies in the Philippines and is one of only six non-life insurance companies in the country that are ISO-certified. Meanwhile, its adherence to best practices was recognized by Investment in People (Iip) with a People Management Excellence Standard Recognition and Certification. Corporate Guarantee is the only non-life insurance company in South East Asia to receive the prestigious distinction.
Apart from Corporate Guaratee, the LausGroup also operates Comtrust Finance and Investment Corporation (Laus Auto Finance), Huper Optik Philippines which distributes advanced nano-ceramic, multilayer window films; Laus Marketing and Trading Corporation (LMTC) which carries Voltronic motor oil and lubricants.
Outside of the automotive sector, the company put up various media outlets in line with the founder's vision of priming the countryside and stimulating economic activity. The company owns RWFM 95.1 radio station, Sun.Star Pampanga, and the multi-awarded CLTV 36, the leading regional TV station in Central Luzon with nationwide coverage.
Other businesses of LausGroup include Max’s restaurants, Pancake, Dencio's, Yellow Cab , The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and Familyville real estate.
