Ang FUND VALUE ay hindi kinita galing sa investment.
Ang fund value sa VUL ay ang portion ng premium that is invested. Kay fund value din kinakaltas ang pambayad for the monthly charges.
VUL is primarily a life insurance plan where a portion of your money is invested kaya the better statement is LIFE INSURANCE WITH INVESTMENT COMPONENT.
Other people choose buy term and invest the difference but since they are not billed or reminded about their investment, others fail to continuously add to the investment part.
..with VUL, you are billed for your plans.
The same is true for traditional plans with cash values and endowment. The savings component makes it possible for you to have additional funds you can rely on in the future.
I am only here to present options because there is no one size that fits all when it comes to strategies.
Just know the wealth of options available for you.
If you think that buy-term -invest-the-difference is the strategy for you, do it!
P.S. Traditional life insurance and VUL plans are not savings and investment plans.
Some traditional plans are life insurance with a savings component (cash value).
Other traditional plans have a savings component (cash value) and guaranteed payouts (endowment).
On the other hand, VUL is a life insurance plan with an investment component (fund value).
