📍What is ECU?
ENGINE CONTROL UNIT, this is the brain of vehicles that have EFI (Electronic Fuel Injection)
Commonly known in the Philippines as "COMPUTER BOX" for motorcycle or cars, trucks.
📍What is ECU REMAP?
Remap is the process of accessing the internal memory of the ECU to calibrate or adjust the settings needed by the engine. Ex. Idle speed, RPM Limit, coldstart, air fuel ratio etc. By connecting to a PC/ Laptop. (Unlike the carburetor engines, EFI systems don't always have manual adjustment screws or jettings, ALL vehicle adjustment is made inside the ECU)
📍WHEN TO HAVE REMAP?
1. If you modified your engine, intake and exhaust, you may experience some problems like backfires, hard starting, engine stall, no idle, no coldstart, check engine light, etc. Because the ECU is only set for factory or stock parts. Remap allows you to tune the ECU to match corresponding modifications.
📍CAN I SKIP REMAPPING?
Absolutely, if you modified your engine or exhaust and don't want it to be remapped, it's ok, your bike, your rules.
If you encounter problems mentioned above, you can always ask u if your unit needs a remap or a different solution.
📍CAN YOU REMAP ALL STOCK ?
Yes, we can add additional RPM to the limit or adjust for more fuel but remember if you decided to modify in the future, you will pay for another remap session.
📍IS REMAP FOR RACING PURPOSES ONLY?
NO! Remap is the process of accesing and adjusting ECU settings even with a fully stock engine, You can fix idle speed, Coldstart, MAP sensor settings etc. For example, if you think your idle speed is too high and consuming more fuel in traffic stops and you don't have a idle screw, remapping is the price to do so.
📍HINDI TATAGAL ANG MAKINA KAPAG NA REMAP?
Yes, if remap is NOT DONE PROPERLY, it will cause more problems than before.
No! IF Remap is DONE Properly and professionally with the appropriate tools.
