The project has been described as 'Fast & Furious on motorcycles' and will receive full support from MotoGP, which will assist with consultation and the film's development, Deadline reported.

To capitalize on the film's massive cultural impact, Ducati released a limited-edition run of the Ducati 998 in 2004.

Keanu Reeves' character (Neo) didn't ride the Ducati on screen, Keanu—an avid motorcyclist and co-founder of ARCH Motorcycle—was gifted one of these rare limited-edition 998 models by Warner Bros. / the Wachowskis to commemorate the movie.
