Founded in 2017, Karwa Motors is a joint venture between Mowasalat Qatar, the state-owned transport company of Qatar, and Oman Investment Fund, Oman’s sovereign wealth fund. We have come a long way since, with the construction of the first phase having already been completed. We have commenced operations in the beginning of 2021 at our state-of-the-art factory, located at one of the Sultanate’s most prominent gateways to the world – Duqm. With a technology transfer arrangement from one of the world’s leading brands, Higer, and duly customised with the unique knowledge and expertise of the region, we produce innovative, safe, and reliable buses that are proudly labelled “Made in the Sultanate of Oman”.
