Our highlight of 2025? The UCS Gladiator and a customer’s rig both got the full AMW 4x4 treatment, right here in NZ. These aren’t just lifted and tuned; we’re talking HEMI power, fully certified, ready to hit the roads and the tracks.

Heading away this summer? Before you load the rig and hit the road, take a few minutes to run through this pre-trip checklist 👇

✔️ Tyres
Check tread depth, look for uneven wear or cracks, and make sure pressures are right (including your spare). Don’t forget to adjust pressures if you’ll be hitting sand or gravel.

✔️ Fluids
Engine oil, coolant, brake fluid and power steering should all be at the correct levels. Low fluids or dirty oil can quickly turn into bigger issues on long hot drives.

✔️ Battery & Electrics
Make sure your battery is holding charge, terminals are clean, and any accessories (fridges, lights, chargers) are working properly.

✔️ Brakes
Listen for squeaks or grinding, feel for vibration through the pedal, and make sure braking feels firm and consistent. Loaded vehicles put extra strain on brakes.

✔️ Lights & Indicators
Headlights, brake lights, indicators and reverse lights. Quick to check, easy to miss, and important for safety.

✔️ Recovery Gear
Make sure everything is rated, in good condition, and easy to access. Frayed straps, damaged shackles, or missing gear can ruin a trip fast.

Summer heat, long drives, and extra weight can expose small issues quickly. If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth getting it checked before you go.
