Ever wondered how we find some air conditioning leaks?

One of the tools we use is UV dye.

The dye circulates through the air conditioning system with the refrigerant, and under a UV light it glows brightly wherever the system is leaking.

It helps us pinpoint leaks that might otherwise be difficult to find, saving time and reducing guesswork.

The new office girl is back on shift today 🐾🔧

Unfortunately her tool handling is questionable, morale supervision is intense, and in true Friday fashion the workshop wifi has decided it no longer believes in teamwork 😂

We’ll be closed Monday for the public holiday and back on deck Tuesday.

When it comes to bulbs, voltage isn’t the only thing that matters.

Wattage matters too.

A bulb with the wrong wattage can run too hot, damage fittings, melt plugs, or cause issues with the way the light performs.

So even if it “fits” and it’s the right voltage, that doesn’t always mean it’s the right bulb.

Today we had a pretty solid reminder of how quickly vehicle electrical faults can turn serious.

First and most importantly — we’re so grateful everyone is okay.

In this case, the client’s quick thinking with a hose helped save the rest of the vehicle.

Electrical issues aren’t always obvious before they become dangerous. Sometimes there are warning signs, and sometimes things can fail without much notice at all.

If you ever notice burning smells, smoke, flickering, or melting — switch the vehicle off and get it checked ASAP 🔧

If the car’s sounding tired first thing in the morning, cranking slower than normal, or randomly lighting the dash up… probably worth getting it checked before winter properly kicks in.
