The Regional Council will face challenging issues over the next three years, and it is important Hutt City has strong and experienced representation to ensure its views are heard.

My focus will be on:
- ensuring the ‘Melling Interchange’ project is progressed to improve flood protection of the City and safer traffic, pedestrian and cyclists access to the CBD;
- keeping rates down. Rates increases over the past three years have been 28% which is unsustainable;
- ensuring quality and sustainable water supply;
- ensuring affordable and reliable rail and bus services;
- ensuring our rivers, streams, harbour and coastlines and regional parks are protected for future generations;
- ensuring practical cost-effective solutions are adopted to combat climate change and reduction of carbon emissions.

I have the necessary background and experience to represent Hutt City on the Regional Council.

We are looking for a fully qualified technician that has a minimum 10yrs working experience, WOF authority and a minimum 4yrs European vehicle experience. Expect to work on modern vehicles (European and Japanese) with a small team of 3 other similar qualified technicians in a fun environment, modern workshop with modern service equipment.
