These CF Moto MT 450 adventure bikes are proving very popular here and around the world. No wonder, they got a lot of the design right and they are priced very well.
Proven quite reliable and very practical. Tubeless wheels is something not seen on smaller bikes, but extremely good when adventure riding, not having to remove the wheel/tyre to repair a puncture.
Also rare is a small displacement twin cylinder 270 crank engine which is quite smooth and easy to ride.
My job was a replacement muffler to give the engine a lovely note. This muffler was made in textured stainless, a sorta carbon look but longer lasting than plastic.

Here we are again at the close of another year. Hope it has been a good one for you. For me it is my first year of slowing down with work and becoming semi-retired, and I like it.
I have so many other things I want to accomplish in my life and time is moving on...quickly. So have a fantastic Christmas and make sure you really enjoy the break from work and a bit of holiday and especially some YOU time.
I am sure we all need it. We're about to burst into a New Year and all that it brings us. I personally try to ignore some of the things going on overseas and concentrate on the belief that we are very lucky to be living in a country where we can just get on with our lives and for me that is fantastic. The picture is from the past when Julie and I always used to participate on "Toy Runs" for kids. Pity no local club is doing this any longer, they were great.
We always gave a plastic ride motorbike, and it really put us in the Christmas spirit....
Merry Christmas and a very Wheely New Year to all of you....summer here we come!

If you are interested in a re-read regarding the info I wrote up previously, just look back a bit. The bike was not finished when I had it here, but the owner later rode by to show me.
I am quite impressed with it and the work he has done to bring it up to this standard. Sounds great, looks amazing and is very unusual, so a head turner for sure.
Often I build exhausts and bike stuff and never get to see the finished bike, so thanks to the owner for dropping by.

Well these Honda CBR1000 4 cylinder bikes are disappearing but here is one that is being rebuilt and used and it is good to see.
The original headers were getting tired so my job was to make a complete new system in stainless steel. Also the owner preferred the sound and performance of a 4 into 1 system.
Quite a big job, but the result has worked out well. The bike came up from the West Coast and was entrusted to me so definitely a dedicated owner.
Great to see bikes like this being looked after and still used.

A very nice special BMW race bike in for a race exhaust. This bike has an imported lightweight chromoly frame, and I have not seen one before.
Positions the engine way different than the standard bike. The bike also has magnesium front forks and lots of other lightweight bits.
Very impressive bike and lots of attention to detail. Very keen to see the finished result...

A KTM 1290 Adventure bike in for a new tail-section exhaust. Cut the tailpipe off the original system to remove 2 cats inside.
Many cats on bikes these days flow real well and there is less point in removing them. However if it had just one cat, I probably would have left it, but two is too much.
A high-flow all stainless muffler and now its ready to ride. Sounds great as twins do, and I am sure performance will be up as well.
Hopefully the owner lets me know......after a good ride!

Actually quite rare these days and very cool to see one being used and in good condition.
My job was to increase performance while adding a nice sound. So I made up a squiggly big-bore header 45mm diameter in stainless and a free-flowing muffler. It's difficult making a big header and clearing everything when there's not a lot of room, as well as ensuring that it can come off if needed while tucking it in so as not to burn.
It is a bit of a puzzle, but yes it is removable without removing anything else.

Here is an unusual bike and certainly an unusual exhaust to make up. This is an MV Turismo Veloce.
The original exhaust system had zero sound and is quite heavy as well.
Triples have a sound to themselves, and you either like it or not. However this did sound nice in the end after a bit of fiddling with baffles.
Certainly a deep note at idle and some authority when revving. The original system looked real good in my opinion, so a challenge to create something that looked as nice.

You are looking at the brand new Royal Enfield Shotgun 650. Normally these come with big mufflers.
I made up these stainless steel headers with internal baffles, and it sounds great.
