If there's one thing you need to know about Wayne from Turners Cars Botany, it's that he loves Nissan cars. Here's our very own local legend pictured with his 1986 Nissan Skyline HR31, RB20DET with the factory turbo, front adjustable suspensions – just one of 500 made worldwide!

Wayne has been kind enough to allow the display of his personal collection of model cars in the Turners Cars Botany branch, and we will be rotating through his impressive collection of over 90 cars. Make sure to drop by the branch to see some cool original diecast models – and of course we're starting with his collection of Nissan Skylines.

Another great race for Liam! Driving once again for Red Bull at the inaugural race at Madring, Spain's brand new F1 track, Liam put up a great fight and placed an impressive 6th after qualifying in 8th place. With this result, Liam sets a new Kiwi record - the most points Scored in a single F1 season by any Kiwi driver.

The Mitsubishi GTO competed with such giants as the Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra and even the Honda NSX but with even more tech. The GTO (or GT3000 for the world outside of Japan) came with active aero, electronically adjustable suspension, AWD and 4-wheel steering. Everyone knows the R32 Nissan Skyline of the early 90s, especially the giant killing GT-R that now commands giant money. But before that there were seven generations of Skyline and this is from the seventh generation known as, you guessed it, the R31. This Aussie built luxury Ti spec example was sold new in NZ in 1989. It has the 3 litre RB30 engine - that also found its way into the Holden VL Commodore - and a 5 speed manual gearbox. This survivor is coming up for auction in Timaru next week. Read on...
