Doesn’t it twist your sack having to pay for ever increasing RUC’s? It is a pisstake… You will be doing a few k’s here and there offroad… Or even driving on the farm half the time. Imagine totalling up those km’s you’ve done off road.
I have modelled up a “Speedo Spacer” to avoid these costly RUC’s when not on public roads. It works by spacing out your speedometer cable from the speedo gear drive on the side of your transfer case. This stops the inner cable being able to engage with its gear, stopping your speedo and odometer from ticking over.
With road user charges at just over $8 per 100 kms, you will make your money back in less than 400kms!
Material:
3D printed from a 70% PLA Plastic, 30% Carbon Fibre filament.
(PLA is an oil resistant plastic so it is safe with gearbox oil)
