I`ve been in business for over 35 years now. I`m an honest business owner that has NEVER ripped off any customer of mine and never had any problem with a customer over an invoice/overcharging or work that I have completed. IN 35 YEARS!!!
But now all of a sudden I`m being blamed for certain faults on certain cars. BYD in Lower Hutt who are Brendan Foot Motors in Lower Hutt last year accused my installation of a security camera was causing the electric car to break down, the client could not get the vehicle out of the PARK position. They said the aftermarket camera is the issue. I removed the camera at their request and boom the car broke down again at Wellington Airport, same fault. After more enquiries from my client the fault was not me at all but a faulty transmission computer. F**k BYD and Brendan Foot Motors. They ducked under the covers and no apology to me.
Now BMW here has accused my installation of another security camera has caused all of my clients footwell lights to not operate citing my installation has caused voltage drop in the circuit. My installation was straight to the fusebox and the only wiring is straight to the camera about 12 inches. They have said this is causing the voltage drop to the lighting.. When I questioned the service manager about how my installation has caused this, he passed the blame diagnosis onto his technician who was working on the vehicle. Would`nt you think the service manager, Storm would be in the know about what`s going on? DUH! I work on hundreds of BRAND NEW electric vehicles for some big companies here in Wellington including Wellington City Council, Transpower, Contact Energy, Meridain Energy, Plunket, IHC New Zealand, etc and had NOT one complaint on installing aftermarket devices. F**k intercontinental BMW as well. If they prove I am at fault I will accept no problems but I really think these BIG companies think they can BULLY us small guys. Absolutely disgraceful
