🚗 We’re Hiring – Hydraulic hose technician @ Greg’s Auto Repairs!

Greg’s Auto Repairs is expanding, and we’re looking for an Ōtorohanga local to help us service the area! If you’re hands-on, mechanically minded, and keen to learn something new – this could be the role for you.

👉 No qualifications needed – just a bit of mechanical know-how (or the willingness to learn), a full driver’s license, and a great attitude.

What’s the job?
You’ll be out and about diagnosing and replacing hydraulic hoses on everything from tractors to heavy machinery and trucks. Every day is different! You’ll also lend a hand in the workshop when needed.

What we’re looking for:
✅ Reliable and ready to muck in
✅ Comfortable working independently
✅ Good communicator – you’ll be representing us out in the field
✅ Happy to be on an on-call roster (shared)
✅ Must live in Ōtorohanga

We've been busy over the last few months but here's one of the projects we've been working on. This pump came in for a complete overhaul. After stripping it down, it was fully sandblasted and painted with a new engine and rebuilt pump fitted with all new wiring and control box aswell.

It devastates us to announce the passing of Greg.
He passed away peacefully on Sunday the 17th and we will be celebrating his life on Friday the 22nd.
Due to Covid restrictions we are only allowed 10 people at the funeral, however for those who wish to pay their respects, we invite you all to join us by waving off Greg as he takes his last drive down Waitete Rd past the work shop. We are expecting this to take place around 12:30 before the funeral. Thank you to everyone who has sent us their condolences Greg was a much loved man and will be greatly missed by many in the community.

It's been a while since we last posted on here. Heres a few of the jobs we had fun doing over the last couple of months.

- Slew motor and valve replacement on a huge cyclone stacker.
- hose replacements on Wabco 252ft, Komatsu 475
- Track gear repairs on a Caterpillar D6R
