This year was one of pure talent, determination, & domination by the Huntly team both on & off the track. Every team faced their own testing moments throughout the season, but through it all, our class continued to grow stronger, welcoming 4 new drivers into the Huntly Modified family.

Early in the season, Brett Parsons (69H), Brad Lane (1NZ), & Barry โBazzโ Hunter (53H) put on an incredible show at Meeanee Speedway, showcasing our class to a whole new fan base & representing Huntly with pride.
Then came the New Zealand Championships, where the momentum continued. Every Huntly car qualified for the all important feature final, an achievement in itself against the countryโs best. Brad Lane (1NZ) went on to claim his 4th New Zealand Championship title, with Brett Parsons (69H) finishing 5th, Samantha Keeling (199H) 8th, & Barry Hunter (53H) unfortunately suffering a DNF while sitting 16th.
The success didnโt stop there, with Brad Lane (1NZ) taking out the Waikato Champs & Scotty Redfern (96H) securing 3rd place. From there it was off to Waikaraka Speedway for the NZ GP, where 6 Huntly drivers proudly represented the class, & Brett Parsons (69H) drove brilliantly to finish 2nd overall.
Back on home soil for the North Island Championships, the drivers & track crew put in a massive effort to deliver an unforgettable event for both competitors & fans. Brad Lane (1NZ) stood on the top step once again with Samantha Keeling (199H) right beside him in 2nd, making history as the first siblings ever to podium together at a national title event.
The South Island tour was another highlight of the season, with Barry Hunter (53H) & Brad Lane (1NZ) representing Huntly to the highest standard in Greymouth, Dunedin & Christchurch. The pair put on an unforgettable show for fans across the country & continued to showcase exactly what Huntly modifieds are all about.
To finish off the season, we headed to the Auckland Champs, where Brad Lane (1NZ) once again proved why heโs one of the best, taking another commanding victory.
A massive welcome & congratulations also goes to Adam Cobb (5H), Thomas โTomoโ Zein (32H), Calvin Scharvi (84H), & Jess McKenna (491H), who joined the Modified ranks this season & absolutely brought the heat. Every one of these drivers showed huge progression throughout the year, & the future of our class is looking incredibly strong.

Matt Addis (411H) showed massive progression before unfortunately having to cut his season short. Keep an eye on him next season because heโll no doubt come back faster & stronger.
Adam Cobb (5H) battled issue after issue early in the season, but once the gremlins disappeared, his confidence grew every meeting & he quickly found himself right at the front of the pack.
And of course, Barry โBazzโ Hunter (53H), the absolute legend of Huntly Mods. No matter the meeting, the travel, or the challenge, heโll do whatever it takes to support & showcase our class while giving everyone a run for their money along the way.
A huge thank you goes out to all drivers, crews, officials, sponsors, volunteers, & fans who supported the Modified class this season. None of this happens without you.
Now itโs time for a well earned rest & reset before we come back next season bigger, faster, & ready to bring even more action & upsets to the track.
Make sure you head over & support all of our drivers by liking and following their pages!
