A special shout out to Karting Wellington Rotax Light driver, Tyler Burrows.

Tyler set a new lap record in Heat 3 on Sunday. A blistering 36.099, eclipsing the time set in 2019 by Supercars driver Ryan Wood! Tyler would like to thank his parents and support crew, along with Shane and the extended Wood family for their tireless work behind the scenes! What's more cool is that the new lap record is set in the #40 kart, the same number Ryan used to run in Wellington!

We had a brilliant sunny Saturday, and a not so sunny Sunday at the track over the weekend. Thank you all for travelling from near or far to support the club and go round in circles fast! Karting Wellington had some great results over the weekend too!

We are looking forward to an exciting weekend at Karting Wellington Gazley Raceway! Here's some timing & info for all of our WPKA entrants!

📆Saturday 10th October
Gates open - 6:30am
Practice - 11am to 4:30pm

Gear checks/confirmation of entry/chassis & engine seal distribution will take place from 2pm to 4:30pm

The Cafe will be open from around 10am with a rolling lunch through the day.

📆Sunday 11th October (Happy Bathurst Day!!!)
Gates open - 6:30am
Scrutineering - 7:30am to 8:15am
Gear checks/confirmation of entry - 7:30am to 8:15am
Drivers Briefing - 8:30am
Racing - 9am onwards

The Cafe will be open for Breakfast, lunch, and post racing for a well earned drink.

GOLDSTAR SECURITY FOR SATURDAY NIGHT NEEDED!

We urgently need someone to look after our facility this coming Saturday 10 October for Goldstar. Unfortunately our planned security person has had to change their plans, so we are on the lookout for another keen volunteer.

This is a paid role!

You will be on site from 5:30pm Saturday to about 7am Sunday morning, based in the clubrooms and checking all is ok on a regular basis through the facilities.

Sunday - Tech Assistant. 1 person needed to assist the Technical team with their basic checks through the day.
