It is with the deepest regret and sadness, we share the news that the chequered flag fell on the final lap for founder of Aegis Oil, Frank Radisich.
Frank will be remembered as a much loved and respected, hard working, community-minded man for whom his family was central to his world – along with his beloved motor sport of course.
Frank has always been the engine room, the hub of the Radisich family; the downforce; the engineer, who could always fix things; the driver who in spite of the odd chicane, red flag and rumble strip, kept it on the black stuff. Flag to flag, Frank smiled. He shared whatever he had, with anyone who needed it. A true gentleman driver in every respect.
There’s a gaping hole today on the front row of the grid.
The garage in the sky will never have a loose wheel again.
Godspeed Frank Radisich

Congratulations to Aegis Oil employee, Tasmyn Benny, for her win at Chaos on the Coromandel on Saturday night. Tas didn't miss a beat, boxing her way to a convincing win in front of a big Thames crowd and Aegis Oil staff and managing director, Paul Radisich. Tasmyn is well known within boxing circles for her competition overseas and as a Commonwealth Games Bronze Medalist.

We are certainly in 'interesting' times and from the contact I've had with customers, suppliers, friends and associates, the Level4 COVID-19 lockdown is providing us with plenty of time to reconnect with people in our lives and those things we just don't normally get around to doing. I say this in no way to minimise the challenge facing us all, with the road ahead looking like Mount Panorama in a thunderstorm, with slicks on! Let's keep talking through this and stick together. Aegis Oil is authorised as an essential services supplier for the express provision of lubricants and oil products for essential services only. All COVID-19 lockdown protocols are in place, so if you fall into one of these categories and require product, please do call us on 0800 655645 or contact your Aegis Oil representative. Please know our thoughts are with you and your families. Kia kaha. Paul Radisich

Counting down to the 'big race' at the weekend. Mount Panorama once again hosts the Bathurst 1000km - Australasia's most iconic motorsport event. Just provoking eyebrow-raising with the photo - I'm not going back for more! We send our wishes to all the Kiwi drivers - play hard, stay safe and give us a day of door-handle-to-door-handle action for our viewing pleasure.
And if it's time for a top-up of your driving machine, remember, Aegis Oil produces all grades of mineral, semi-synthetic and synthetic lubricants for your motor vehicle's protection.

Well we took the 'high' out of Highlands and once again showed what a formidable force the Collins Motorsport Mustang can be. Setting the fastest time in class in qualifying and setting a blistering pace in the three hour Carters Tyres South Island endurance race, the Mustang lead its class , running 7th overall until the final hour. On the final driver stint of Nick Ross, the Mustang hit some mechanical issues and Collins Motorsport was forced to call it a day with just under an hour to go.
The Mustang now heads back on the long road trip to the workshop to prepare for the last round of the Endurance Series on 16th November at Hampton Downs.

And it may be no consolation, but motor racing doesn't get much better than in Central Otago - spectacular setting ( and for those of you interested, the Highlands Motorsport Museum houses the 1994 FIA Touring Car World Cup Radisich Mondeo.

When I swapped full-time racing for full-time business, the same factors applied to achieving success, and one in particular: teamwork. I think of our personnel at Aegis Oil as my team - Team Aegis Oil. Our close-knit team knows how important each of their roles is to ensuring our customers consistently enjoy a positive experience. The team knows if one of them were to ( using a racing analogy ) miscalculate the fuel load, the rest of the crew and the audience are denied a result.
Teamwork is at the heart of what we do.

It was a terrific climax to the weekend, scoring a third in Race 3, after 15 laps of picking off all but two of the V8 field, one-by-one. Having lined up in fifth on the grid for the final race, The Rat found himself at the back of the field when the Mustang's engine went into limp mode. Overcoming the start-line falter, Radisich thrilled the Pukekohe crowd, winding up the Ford, thundering down the straights, making his moves in a commanding demonstration of experience and sheer enjoyment. Passing car after car, the crowd-pleasing Mustang threw off its niggling electrical issue giving Collins Motorsport a well deserved result and a good dose of feedback in preparation for the next round of the ENEOS endurance championship event on 15-16 November.

Hope to see some of you out at Pukekohe today. Paul is racing the Collins Motorsport Mustang in race 2 and 3 of the BNT V8 non championship round supporting the V8 Supercars. Race 1 saw the Mustang light up the field with its superb straight-line speed, produced by the Nascar Roush engine at around 850bhp. A few unscheduled 'stops' during the 16 lap dash from teething problems with the electronics, rendered The Rat unable to modulate the throttle, which in turn put the engine into limp mode. After a big effort overnight from Collins Motorsport, we're going to see a flying Rat today.
