An opportunity has arisen in our small family owned business for an experienced and skilled Mechanic to join our team.
Based in Tuakau, North Waikato, the position of the mechanic is a key role in the Workshop. The primary functions associated with the role are to:
Provide a high level of mechanical service in a safe, responsible and good mannered fashion
Promote a high standard of maintenance practice, to positively contribute ideas and to demonstrate a positive response to any such recommendations.
Ensure the security of the vehicles, buildings, and stock under your control.
Ensure compliance with the Health and Safety policies and procedures as required by the Company.
Identify workplace hazards and take action to eliminate, isolate or minimize the hazards.
This role is to work a minimum of 40 hours per week including weekends as required.
The successful candidate should have:
A relevant Trade Certificate from a reputable training organisation
At least 3 years' experience as a Mechanic/ Technician/ Auto Electrician Class 1, 2, 4, D, F would be beneficial but not essential
A passion for Safety in the workplace
Excellent communication skills
Can work autonomously but also be a great team player
