Hello to all my family, friends, clients, associates and colleagues. This post is to let all know that it is time for me to hang up my spanners and announce my retirement after 30 years trading as Murray Kitchen’s Car Maintenance. My official retirement date is going to be 31st March this year. I would like to express my gratitude and thankfulness to all the fantastic people that have supported us over the 3 decades I have been in business. It has been my pleasure to be of assistance and helping out as best as I can. After unsuccessfully trying to sell the business we have decided to close the doors (a bit sad, but that is the way things are in this tough time). We have sent a letter out to as many clients as we can to let you know our plans and outline the options for another good workshop that will look after you. Please be aware that I may not be able to take on all the work leading up to my retirement date if everyone comes in wanting me to do “just one more job before you retire”. At present we are booked nearly 2 weeks in advance so if you do want any repairs etc, please book in early (Friday 25th March will be my last working day). During the last week of March there will be lot of things to sort.
For anyone concerned at this news, I am in great health and looking forward to the next chapter in my life. I have something happening that will mean working up to 3 days a week (more news coming soon). After nearly 50 years being a mechanic, working up to 50 weeks a year, 5 days a week & up to 10 hours a day along with being a “pensioner” now has led me to making this decision. Will probably see the golf course a bit more too 🤔
Cheers Murray & Leanne
