Seems the sticky fingered critters are lurking around both Rotorua and Matamata at the moment. This ignition was replaced only 10 days prior, and here we are replacing it again! Along with a rear door window and getting the door lock matched to the new ignition key. If you find yourself in this situation, fire us a message a I'm happy to help, can work via insurance, and also I am a WINZ approved repairer.

This week we had yet another Ranger with transmission issues. This PX2 Ranger had an Intermittent fault with the Transmission Range Sensor, which would occasionally mean it wouldn't start. This is a common issue, and the Range Sensor is in the Transmission Lead Frame, along with the input and output speed sensors. We can supply and fit these along with a new transmission Filter and oil, and get your Ranger back on the road.

Paul and Lisa's Chrysler 300c failed its WOF due to a Front Brake imbalance, a quick inspection found a seized Caliper slide as expected. A clean up and Re-lube and it was all back together and passed its WOF.

A common issue with a lot of vehicles are the radiator top tanks becoming brittle and cracking.

This customer had the top hose fitting snap off and loose coolant, a quick run up to check there were no issues with the engine and a brand new radiator was sourced.

We know these cars inside out, the common issues, and the best place to source quality parts at a reasonable price.

Also being completely mobile means this work can all be carried out wherever the vehicle is, at a time that's convenient for you.

Something a little different to my usual mechanical work. Dillon had a Toyota Alteza with some electrical faults after a battery short circuited and damaged the ECU. He was able to source an identical ECU, it just needed to be able to identify the key for Immobilizer. A quick plug in with my computer and I could clone the Immobilizer data and flash it to the new ECU. With overnight turn around these are on their way back to Timaru 👌 I always enjoy taking on these small odd jobs that other people seem to not be interested in. That being said, if you have anything of this sort, don't be afraid to flick me a message and see what we can do to help 😎

Yesterday I had a customer with a Chrysler 300c and an Oil Pressure signal Fault code. It had been to another workshop, and they had told them the Oil Pressure sensor needed replacing. Customer called me to do the job and Decided to check a few other things. Oil Pressure sensor was sending signal just fine, but the pressure was low. Oil was thin so a quick Oil change should solved the problem, however, the last person who changed the oil decided the sump plug needed a few more Ugga Duggas, and was definitely not coming out with just a spanned. New sump plug, Engine flush and New oil and filter has magically fixed the sensor issue. Who would have thought.......
