1. Pressure in chest which may be prolonged ..15 min etc
2. Radiating pain, chest, left arm, jaw, side of face
3. Extreme fatigue without reason
4. Sudden shortness of breath / sweating
5. Dizziness nausea or pain
[Any 2 or 3 of the above may signal oncoming heart attack]
If you have a heart attack...
1. As soon as you feel symptoms, sit, rest with your back supported
2. Chew an asprin.. chewing absorbs quicker
3. Ring 111. Give address first thing.. I am .. I live at... do this before operator speaks
4. Unlock the door
5. 45 degree incline, don't lay down completely, but elevate feet
6. Send a brief text message to family, don't talk, talking uses energy
7. Breath deeply.. in 4 seconds and out for 6 seconds ... breath into the stomach
8. Press on the wrist with your thumb at the pulse area and cough . Coughing will get blood to the heart, the pressure on pulse helping to regulate flow
