Great to see our Elite 8 featured in this month’s Pacific PowerBoat Magazine.

The team spent some time aboard, put her through her paces and captured this video along the way.

Always good to see an independent perspective on a boat we’re incredibly proud to build here in New Zealand.

Thanks to the team Pacific Powerboat for the feature.

Back from paint and heading home.

Our Explorer 45 making her way back up the driveway, ready for the next stage of the build.

Hand built here in New Zealand, and eventually heading for her new home in the Pacific Northwest.

The sheep seem largely unimpressed.

And just like that we are rolling over our next 11m hull. She’s a new style again on a proven hull, we will keep you updated as she progresses.

One of the best parts of building boats is seeing where they end up.

Our 3400 catamaran Wirraji at work with Ocean Eco Adventures on Western Australia's Ningaloo Reef.

Designed and built in New Zealand, she's now spending her days carrying guests through one of the world's most remarkable marine environments.

A great look at the boat, the operation, and what she was ultimately built for.

Taking shape behind the scenes.

The forward cabin and bathroom cabinetry for our Explorer 45 coming together in our cabinetry shop. Built in-house, piece by piece, before being fitted aboard.

It’s the work behind the finished product that makes the difference.

From bare aluminium to something special.
Our Explorer 45 leaves the workshop and heads to paint.

It’s always exciting seeing a project reach this stage.

Our Explorer 45 heads to the paint shop after months of fabrication.

When she returns, we’ll begin the final fit-out—installing the propulsion package, electrical systems, interior, glazing, electronics and all the details that bring the design to life.

Stay with us as we share the next chapter of the build.

Built in properly from the start.
The Seakeeper installation on the Herley 45 begins with the foundations — integrated into the structure so everything is right before the final fit-out.

We’re hiring.

Herley Boats is looking for a **Boatbuilder – Marine Fit-Out** to join our team in Tauranga.

This role is focused on the fit-out and finishing stages of our custom aluminium boats, including interior panels, cabinetry, hardware, electrical, plumbing, and general boatbuilding work.

We’re looking for someone practical, reliable, and detail-focused, with good hands-on skills and pride in their workmanship.

Marine experience would be ideal, but we’d also be interested in hearing from people with cabinet making, joinery, caravan/motorhome fit-out, or similar trade experience.

Full-time preferred, but we’re open to discussing options with the right person.

Message us directly or email [email protected] if you’re interested, or tag someone who could be a good fit.
