We're talkin' tiny, quirky, and full of character!

They're like the fun-sized Snickers bars of the bike world - all the flavour, none of the guilt (or parking nightmares)!
These itsy-bitsy bikes are packed with personality, quirky designs, and a whole lotta charm. And, fun fact: they were all the rage in Japan back in the 80s!
The Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) was like a never-ending parade of teeny-tiny two-wheelers, and we are 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘. 𝗙𝗢𝗥. 𝗜𝗧.

𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗺𝗲
• The Concept: Released during Japan’s mid-1980s "racer replica" boom—when manufacturers built shrunken-down 50cc versions of their championship-winning, full-sized super-sport bikes—Suzuki took a tongue-in-cheek approach.

• The Parody: They built a 3/4-scale, fully faired mini-superbike weighing just 64 kg that looked like a serious track racer, but powered it with a humble, slow 5.2-horsepower 4-stroke engine borrowed from the Suzuki Birdie utility step-through scooter.

• Suzuki's Official Definition: Recognizing the unusual moniker, Suzuki stated that the machine was meant as a light-hearted "gag"—defining it officially as "super fun for teenagers and boisterous adults with a spirit of adventure and a sense of humour."

• Legacy: This little joke of a bike started a mini-replica craze, and we're forever grateful for it! We've got a whole collection of these teeny-tiny bikes at our shop in Tauriko - 19 of them, to be exact! So, if you're looking for a small but mighty ride, come on down and take a look-see!

The Kawasaki H1 500, better known as the Mach III, is one of the most iconic motorcycles of the 1970s. Its 499cc two-stroke triple earned a fearsome reputation for raw, unfiltered performance, and these air-cooled triples remain highly sought after by collectors and riding enthusiasts alike.

This 1974 model was registered new in NZ on 01-Jan-1976

Key Specifications
• Engine: 498cc air-cooled, two-stroke inline triple
• Horsepower: 59–60 hp at 7,500–8,000 rpm
• Transmission: 5-speed
• Weight: Approx. 188 kg

Character & Evolution
• The Ride: By 1974 (the H1F model), the bike had evolved from its earlier, notoriously wild "𝙒𝙞𝙙𝙤𝙬 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧" reputation into a slightly more civilized machine.

• Handling: It featured a reinforced frame and front disc brakes to help manage the sudden surge of power common to Kawasaki's triple engines

• The Legacy: These bikes are highly sought after, finding one with such low kms and in such amazing original condition is extremely rare in NZ

In 1988, Kawasaki launched the KR1, a 250cc two-stroke road racing replica, competing against Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha. Despite being the first to end production in 1992, the KR1 carved out a niche with its excellent handling, top speed, and ease of tuning. Less than 10,000 units were produced, making it a rare gem for loyal fans. 🏍️

The 1967 Norton Atlas carved out a unique and enduring legacy in New Zealand's motorsport history, primarily establishing itself as a dominant force in local production-class road racing and beach racing during the late 1960s. In an era when Kiwis were highly resourceful "backyard engineers," the Atlas became a coveted platform for New Zealand privateers. They took full advantage of its rigid Slimline Featherbed frame and high-torque 745cc engine, stripping the heavy highway cruisers down into competitive track weapons to race at legendary local circuits like Pukekohe, Levin, and the Burt Munro-famed Oreti Beach

New Zealand History
• The "Parts-Bin" Special Era: Due to New Zealand's historical import restrictions and high tariffs on complete foreign vehicles, Kiwi racers frequently imported standalone 1967 Norton Atlas/P11 engines to build custom hybrids, like our Race Bike.
• The Ultimate Cafe Racer Platform: Many 1967 road models imported into New Zealand were modified by local enthusiasts into "Triton" or "Norvin" style cafe racers, blending the Atlas power plant with alternative racing components.
• Survival and Collectibility: Because of the tight-knit local classic motorcycle community, New Zealand remains an active hub for fully restored and running Atlas models. Highly specialised local automotive collectors, such as Adrenalyn New Zealand, actively preserve rare racing variants like the hybrid Atlas-powered P11 scramblers

Usage & Legacy:
While designed for high-speed highway cruising and touring, the Atlas was widely modified by privateers for club racing and drag racing. Its high-torque engine made it incredibly fast, though riders had to endure severe engine vibrations at high RPMs. The Atlas served as Norton's flagship model until it was replaced by the rubber-mounted, vibration-free Commando.

A 1971 Yamaha CS3B 200 Electric in its original metallic purple is extremely rare globally, and even more so in New Zealand. As a classic 195cc two-stroke, it was only produced for a couple of years. Finding one in the wild—let alone an NZ-new model in the striking original purple—is a major challenge.

A true "Barn Find" - NZ New (original plate : 997TG, first registered on 08-03-1971)

The 1971 Yamaha CS3B 200 Electric in Metallic Purple (often referred to as "Popsicle Purple") is quite rare. While exact production numbers are unavailable, purple was the hero colour for the US market that year and it has become an increasingly scarce collector’s item.

Why It's Rare & Collectible
• One-Year-Only Run: The CS3B (low-pipe street model) was essentially a one-year model specifically designed to fill the 200cc displacement gap before the RD200 line took over.
• The "Groovy" Paint: "Metallic Purple" with white pinstripes and colour-matched purple headlight and side panels was incredibly popular but fragile over the decades. Surviving original, un-faded purple tank sets are uncommon.
• Electric Start: Having a reliable electric start/dynamo setup on a lightweight two-stroke street bike was highly advanced for its time.

Exhausts:
The factory exhaust system for a 1971 Yamaha CS3B 200 consists of a highly distinctive, low-slung, twin chrome exhaust setup. Each cylinder features its own separate exhaust assembly running straight back along the bottom left and right sides of the bike.
The factory design includes several key identifying details:
• The "Cigar" Profile: The silencer body starts slender at the front collar, gradually swells into a cylindrical body, and tapers down cleanly toward a rounded tip at the very rear.
• Two-Piece Assembly: The exhaust is split into a curved chrome header pipe that bolts directly to the cylinder port, which then clamps into the main lower silencer body via a small circular collar.
• Integral Mounting Brackets: Original pipes feature permanent, triangular metal mounting tabs welded directly to the top edge of the chrome body to secure them to the motorcycle's frame tabs.
