We painted this boat over 10 years ago.

More than a decade later, she’s still looking sharp and turning heads.

A pretty good reminder that the quality of professional workmanship and paint job isn’t measured the day it leaves the shed — it’s measured years later.

We’re getting in a little early with this one, but with a milestone birthday coming up on Saturday, we couldn’t let him escape without a mention! 🎉😂

Happy 50th Adrian! 🎉

I’ve known and worked alongside Adrian for over 25 years. He’s become far more than a workmate - he’s a good friend and someone I have enormous respect for.

Adrian is loyal, hardworking and always willing to put others first. I’ve watched him train and mentor some of the best fairers and painters in the marine industry. Many have benefited from his knowledge and experience - even if they’ve had to put up with a fair bit of s**t from him along the way.

His workmanship and knowledge of the marine industry are second to none, but for me that’s only part of what makes Adrian the person he is. It’s his character and willingness to help others that really stand out.

Anyone who knows Adrian knows he’s always been the joker. For more than 25 years he’s kept workshops laughing and wondering what the hell he’s up to now. Even on stressful days, he can get everyone laughing again.

Adrian has done more for me than I could ever put into words. He has backed me, helped me and stood alongside me through the good times and the absolute nightmares. What he has done for me and Marine Reflections I’ll never forget, and I’ll always be grateful for his friendship and loyalty.

And now, somehow, Adrian has managed to make it to 50. Anyone who has spent decades working in the marine industry will appreciate that reaching this milestone with your sanity mostly intact is an accomplishment in itself.

Although in Adrian’s case, I’m not entirely convinced the sanity was intact to begin with.

Jokes aside, I’m extremely proud to call Adrian both a colleague and a friend. The marine industry, and the many people he has helped along the way, are better for having him in it.

Happy 50th, mate. You’re a bloody good human, a great friend and someone I’ll always be grateful to have had beside me for all these years.

Here’s to 50 - you’ve officially become one of the old bastards you used to take the p**s out of. 😂
