🚨 UPDATE: We Actually Did It — We’ve Moved! 🧰🚛

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we warned you the hoist might walk off on its own and Seth was running on bad jokes and coffee? Well… the chaos is over (mostly).

After what felt like moving a car with no wheels (and discovering way too much stuff), SR Automotive is now officially set up in our new workshop! 🎉

📍 177 Eleventh Avenue, Tauranga
🗓️ Same awesome service, just with fresh paint, better lighting, more space — and yes, the coffee machine survived the trip.

🙌 Huge thanks to everyone who helped over the last couple of months with cleaning, painting, building, designing, and sidetracking us. You’re absolute legends!

And, of course, thank you to our customers for your patience while we relocated everything across town.

🚗 Come check out the new digs — we promise it already feels like home (and only a little bit like we’re still looking for that missing torch). 😉

🚨 We're Moving! (But not just yet...) 🛠️

Big news! We’re shifting to a brand-new workshop at 177 Eleventh Ave, officially opening 30th September! 🎉

You will start noticing some weird stuff around here over the next couple of months:

🧰 Toolboxes on the move
🛠️ Half a hoist gone (don’t panic)
🔩 A mechanic looking for “that really important bolt”
😅 Even worse jokes than usual
☕ And yes, Seth is very tired — coffee donations welcome

We’ll be closed the week of 22nd September while we move, but until then it’s business as (chaotic) usual.

Thanks for sticking with us — and for not judging the mess or the puns. 💪

With dropping to level 3 as of tonight we will be back open tomorrow.
We need to follow level 3 rules to operate. Nobody is allowed on site. So all booking will need to be done over the phone, email or through our online booking form. We will then be in contact to talk you through the drop of and collection process.
We have a backlog of work due to us been shut. Please bare with us as we work through the next couple days. If you were booked in before lock down we will be in contact to get you rebooked in.

With NZ going into level 4 lockdown, we will be closed to normal business. However, we will still carry out repairs for essential workers.

Any booking from essential workers will need to be done by email ([email protected]).

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time, as the team are aware that this might create a delay of work, but we will work through any backlog as quickly as possible once out of level 4.

What a year its been!
Thanks, everyone for all the business and support for our first year in business.

We are now closed until the 11th of January, so the team can spend some much-needed time with family and friends. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season

An important message from the team

While the government has listed mechanics as an essential business; we at S R Automotive have decided to help support the community to stop the spread of Covid-19 by shutting our doors to the public, this means from 5pm today (24 March 2020) our reception is closed.

If your vehicle servicing and repairs can be postponed until the alert level comes back down or we advise otherwise, we would ask that this occur. Anyone booked in for a service, repairs or WOF we will be contacting you directly to reschedule your appointment.

We will, however, continue to work on the vehicles of our clients of essential businesses and their workers, that are keeping the country and community running and safe—i.e. doctors/nurses/hospital staff and food supply chain and their workers. https://covid19.govt.nz/government-actions/covid-19-alert-level/ -businesses

We understand that getting to essential businesses such as a grocery store, doctor, etc is required, where taxis or public transport is not available. In this case, we ask that you ring us before coming to the workshop, as no walk in’s will be taken. If you phone us, we can provide free phone consultation, where and determine if the issue your vehicle has is safe to be driven or if is an urgent matter. We value all our clients and want to continue providing a service to you when we can. However, we are unsure of what parts we will also be able to obtain during this time, so priority bookings will be going to the essential businesses first.

Of course, if you or someone in your house is unwell, please cancel your booking and arrange for a family member, neighbour or friend to deliver supplies so your vehicle is not required. This message applies all Alert levels.

We are only a small business and want to protect our families and yours - if anyone in our household or we come in contact with anyone unwell we will have to close. Please note this is an ever-changing situation so for those essential workers and customers coming in we have new procedures to be followed and would ask you to remain in your vehicle and phone us, and we will explain.

Follow up photos from the rusty cooling system a couple of weeks ago.
Come see us for all mechanical repairs. When you cant get a new or a good second hand part we find another cost effective way around it.
