Heading away for a school holiday break? 😅🗺️ We want you, family and friends to get to your destination safe, happy and stress-free! So here's a friendly reminder of key safety tips. Our roads are already busy as Kiwis are taking some much needed R&R, so have a quick read of the following to ensure you’re ready to roll…

❄️ The weather could be nasty or snowy! Check your windscreen wiper blades are good to go and have a cloth handy for the inside of your windscreen too.

🛑 Double your following distance - it pays to have plenty of time to stop if you need to.

🔦 Be visible - use your lights - especially during bad weather or if you are leaving early morning or later that night.

⛷️ Allow plenty of time to reach your holiday destination – why rush! Get a good night's sleep the night before and share the driving if you can.

🚙 Be kind to others on the road and stick to the speed limit. Keep calm if you’re stuck behind a slow driver for instance – wait for a passing lane to be safe.
