⚓ Bluefin – Complete Garmin Electronics Upgrade

This Bluefin's Garmin electronics upgrade is now complete and all systems tested and calibrated on the water.

The upgrade includes:

🔹 Garmin GPSMAP 9010XSV multifunction display
🔹 Garmin 24XD GPS/Heading Antenna
🔹 Airmar TM275LHW 1kW CHIRP transducer
🔹 Garmin autopilot – installed and calibrated on the water
🔹 Garmin Kraken 90” trolling motor
🔹 NZ Lithium 36V battery to power the Kraken
🔹 Hella Apelo RGB underwater lights
🔹 Fusion controller for RGB lighting control

The custom alloy bow mount was fabricated by Steve at Fusion Fabrication, allowing the Garmin Kraken to sit neatly above the existing anchor.

With the electronics installed, we took the boat out on the water to complete the autopilot calibration and set up the Kraken trolling motor.

Another complete installation, from custom mounting and electronics integration through to on-water commissioning. ✅

🔧 Next project in the workshop — Bluefin
The boat will be receiving a major Garmin electronics upgrade.

We will be installing:
🔹 Garmin GPSMAP 9010XSV multifunction display

A big part of the project has already been completed, with Steve from Fusion Fabrication finishing the custom alloy work on the bow to allow the Kraken trolling motor to mount neatly above the existing anchor.

Now it's our turn to get stuck into the electronics and installation. ⚓️

Behind the scenes at ECME 🔵

Between customer installs, I’ve been slowly getting the new office/showroom together.

Today was getting the CNC-cut acrylic ECME logo mounted on the feature wall. Starting to look the part! 👌

Still plenty to do, but it’s coming together nicely.

⚓ Extreme 570 Sportfish – Garmin Electronics Upgrade.

We removed the faulty Lowrance Elite 7 CHIRP and upgraded the boat with:

🔹 Garmin GPSMAP 953xsv
🔹 Airmar TM185M 1kW Medium CHIRP transducer
🔹 Garmin 24xd GPS/Heading Antenna
🔹 Garmin Navionics charts with Relief Shading

The Airmar TM185M 1kW Medium CHIRP provides excellent target separation and detail, making it a great choice for inshore and deeper offshore applications.

The Garmin 953xsv brings the new electronics setup together with sonar and navigation, while Garmin Navionics charts with Relief Shading provide detail of the underwater terrain.

Garmin Install completed on this Tristram 851.

We installed the customer’s existing Garmin GSD26 sounder module from his previous boat and connected it to the Garmin GPSMAP 7412XSV at the helm.

The system is paired with a 2kW Airmar R109LHW transducer. The hull cutting and installation of the R109LHW was carried out by Vickers Marine, with us completing the Garmin electronics installation and integration.
