βπππ€: What is torque, and why do people want more of it?
Torque is a measurement of an engine's turning force, often referred to as pulling power. It's the force you feel pushing the vehicle forward when accelerating and is commonly measured in Newton metres (Nm).
More torque improves low and mid-range performance, helping with acceleration, towing, hill climbing, and overall vehicle responsiveness.
But just like horsepower, bigger numbers aren't everything.
Where torque is produced in the rev range and how it's delivered play a major role in drivability, traction, and overall performance. Too much torque in the wrong part of the rev range can affect drivability and place unnecessary strain on vehicle components.
That's why our custom dyno tuning focuses on building strong, smooth, and usable torque across the rev range β delivering improved performance where you'll actually use it, not just an impressive number on a graph.
