Proworx Automotive is a small business which we use to run from a garage on a local street. We've now moved onto a new premise. Unit 4, 16 Totara Street.

We provided services,WOF, warrant repairs, dyno-tuning and engineering. (Oposite bungy). On the left

Brad has been Buzy today on an Exhaust for a VE SS V8 Holden Commodore.

This vehicle came in with a 2.5" XForce Exhaust with no flexi bellows and slip joins with clamps. Which kept Continously twisting and dropping 1 side towards the ground causing damage.

We added in 2 flexi's in the original XForce Cat back section and retained the XForce cross pipe to save the customer some money as this part of the system was still perfect to use.

Full replacement of the mid section with VBands retaining the XForce mufflers for a low/medium noise level.
Meanwhile we were able to get the piping another 1-1.5" higher over the original XForce system.

McMOAN Back in for some Tip changes.

A More tucked and sleek appearance was requested.
Moving the twin split further under the bumper to create a straight cut tip appearance.

LN HILUX UPDATE:

The Monster Truck as Brad calls it.
Is nearing completion for our section of work we have been set.

All fluid lines have been mapped out and made.
Fuel lines from -10 200series black Teflon braid
Coolant lines -16 100series silver braid
Heater core lines &return to top hose
Oil Cooler -10 100series black braid
Power steering -6 200series for the feed & 100series for return.

Plenty of time involved in this project to get all of the fluid transfer bits sorted.

With the radiator being rear mounted and the highest point we needed to incorporate a fuller pot/swirl pot for the system to operate correctly.

🚧 Under construction. 🚧.

We currently have a pretty cool project in the shop to get the Full AN plumbing makeover
Fuel system,
Rear mount Radiator system,
Oil cooler & relocation
Power steering cooler.

We have a pretty tight time frame to get it finished so the truck can go for wiring and 1st fire up.

Do you own a Ford Everest, Ford Ranger Or Ford Transit with the 2.0 Bi-turbo Ecoblue engine?

These engines run a Wet belt system for the camshaft drive, Failure of this belt causes catastrophic engine failure. As they are an interference engine. Which means pistons will hit the engine valves and cause a lot of head/valvetrain damage Resulting in expensive repairs.

These wet belt systems still require to be changed every 80,000-100,000kms like a standard cambelt.
Regular servicing helps increase the milage you are able to get from the belt without failure.

As pictured below this Wet belt is on the edges of failure. With cracking to both the back side of the belt and the inner edges of the drive teeth. Rubber debris is present in this case however can get a lot worse than pictured, These teeth strip off and cause the damage as mentioned above.

Something a little different last week in the Custom side of things.
2019 Dodge Ram 1500. 5.7L V8
Intake system with a cold box which seals on the bonnet when closed.
Gives this vehicle a bit of a different intake sound to the factory systems.
We also did a bit of exhaust work to make her a little bit more lively and V8 sounding as per customers requests.

RACE PREP.

This Week was a few final touches to Logan's SR20DET TA22 Celica.
Sort exhaust manifold to turbo leak/turbo outlet fl**ge leak.
Move CTS into more desirable location for more accurate coolant temps. And a small intake adjustment for better positioning for air flow, and a few other electrical/computer changes

Will be a good test weekend for Logan at the Taupo Car Club Inc. Duel Sprints/ Clubmans.
