29 years ago, Andrew & Anita were flat out organising the opening of Simmonds Firestone. With a 1 year old in tow, and a helping hand from Andrew's grandmother to help us buy a ute, we plunged into the world of business ownership! It was stressful, exciting, and nervewracking but we always had complete confidence that with Andrew's tyre nous (he started with Reidrubber when he was just 18!) that we could make this into an awesome business. NZTA has just announced that WOF intervals are going to be changing. Which is a blessing and a curse for some - it means that you will really need to be proactive in making sure your car is in a warrantable condition for a much longer period. So no more thinking "the WOF's not due yet - I'll hold off a bit longer". You run the real risk of having tyres that are unsafe if you're not checking them regularly (or calling in here to get us to check them for you!)
