Two chances to see 100s of veteran, vintage and classic cars!

- Wed 18 March at 6pm to 9pm - Night on the Town - come to Montgomery & Buxton carparks to see hundreds of veteran, vintage and classic cars.

- Sat 21 March at 10am-3pm - Public Car Show at Richmond Showgrounds. This is the biggest gathering of the week - 550 veteran, vintage and classic cars. Car rides and food trucks! $10 adults, $20 family. Under 12 free.

Organised by the local branch of the NZ Vintage Car Club, this gathering of veteran, vintage and classic cars from 1903 to 1996 is absolutely awesome! Come and marvel at these beauties, talk to the (very proud) owners and be part of an event that was last in Nelson in 1972!

Registration Day! We'll see all that can make it down at Rally HQ - the Trafalgar Centre in Paru Paru Road Nelso. There's also late registration at Rally HQ from 8-10am Monday morning and from 4pm at the information desk every day.

Wow, things have been hectic and we haven't posted here in a while. Late entries close in just a few days (November 30th), and November 28th is your last chance to buy festival merch and have it at the registration desk when you arrive (after that you can still order to your home but there will be delivery charges).

Also, there's a bit of misinformation spreading out there about the pre-order meals - for the record - they ARE NOT included in your entry ticket. That's why we're selling them separately. 😀

Vero International Festival of Historic Motoring Will Go Ahead.

We are excited to announce that the Vero Rally has exceeded the minimum numbers required to go ahead and is on track to reach our target of more than 500 vehicle entries. We know that there are still many club members planning to sign up in the week and a half remaining before entries close on August 31st.

For those wanting to experience everything that makes our club so special on a grand scale, the Vero is not to be missed.

In March 2026, the spirit of our club will be on full display at this exceptional event to be held in Nelson. Over six days, more than 500 vintage, veteran and classic vehicles and their crews are expected to gather for a festival that combines exceptional motoring with camaraderie and celebration. Daily rallies will take in the region's outstanding roads and scenery, with route options carefully designed to suit the capabilities of older and newer vehicles alike.

A highlight of the programme is the Teams Relay Challenge, in which teams of drivers of all ages and abilities compete under controlled conditions to cover the greatest distance on a 1.6km circuit, while completing pit stop tasks — an entertaining blend of endurance, timing, and teamwork.

Evenings will feature shared meals and live entertainment at Nelson's Trafalgar Centre, plus a special Night on the Town in Nelson, offering opportunities to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.

Festival entries close 31 August 2025. There may be limited late entries available after this but they will be more expensive.

You will need a VIC for your vehicle to participate, but you don't need to have it before you enter.
