Another tidy electrical job completed by Mitch Mobile Mechanic.

This brand-new Lexus GX550 came in to have a radar detector professionally hardwired.

Rather than having cables hanging across the dash or taking up the 12V socket, we wired it directly into the vehicle for a clean, factory-style installation — switched with the ignition and completely out of the way.

Whether it’s radar detectors, dash cams, lighting, accessories or custom automotive wiring, we can get it installed properly and keep your interior looking clean.

2016 Isuzu D-Max – P0234 Overboost Diagnosis

This D-Max came in with a P0234 – Turbocharger Overboost Condition fault.

After working through the diagnostics, we found the problem wasn’t actually the turbo.

The vehicle had an aftermarket ECU performance chip fitted, which was interfering with the MAP sensor circuit and wasn’t providing the correct voltage on the 5V reference circuit.

This caused the ECU to receive an incorrect MAP sensor reading, ultimately triggering the P0234 overboost fault.

A good example of why fault codes don’t always tell you which part has failed — they tell you where to start testing.

Toyota Mark X – Crank/No Start Diagnosed & Fixed

This Mark X came in with a tricky crank/no-start and intermittent ECU communication fault.

After working through ECU powers, grounds, CAN communication, immobiliser and sensor circuits, we found the culprit — a faulty fuel pressure sensor was pulling down the ECU’s 5V reference network, causing the ECU to drop out just as the engine tried to start.

Fault found, repaired and Mark X back up and running! ✅

A good example of why proper diagnostics beats firing the parts cannon.
