We’ve been on the big jobs recently! 💪

Our customer recently brought their vehicle to us with a persistent ticking noise emanating from the engine.

Upon inspection, we determined that the noise originated from the top end. A compression test confirmed that at least one valve was being held open in cylinder number 3, resulting in reduced compression. We also noticed that several bolts and clamps had been left loose and proceeded to tighten them. 🔩

Once we removed the rocker arm and camshaft assembly, it became apparent that most of the lifters were stuck in either the open or closed position, thereby hindering the vehicle's performance. We replaced the entire set of lifters, and the vehicle was running smoothly and quietly after reassembly.

Additionally, we provided a full service and restored the cloudy headlights to their original clarity! ✨

We have been a bit quiet on the socials lately, but we have been working hard behind the scenes! 😎🔧

Our customer recently came to us with his Audi TT to diagnose a misfire and carry out a transmission service.
We identified that water had entered the intake and spark plug tubes after our customer had recently had his engine steam cleaned, thus causing the misfire. We replaced the spark plugs, gave both the Throttle Body & MAF Sensor a clean, and performed the necessary DSG transmission service.

Alternator Replacement Completed ✅

This customer's vehicle would not start due to a malfunctioning alternator, which had drained the battery. We also found a worn-out drive belt and tensioner on inspection.

We promptly replaced the alternator, drive belt, and tensioner with brand-new components and recharged the original battery. Unfortunately, the original battery couldn't hold a charge and required replacement. We fitted a new battery and got this little Fiat and our customer back on the road smoothly and safely!
