Error trapping proceeds! I am having an Err54 at the moment. Found a crossed over wire in the precharge circuit which turns out to have no real effect. I turned off dual drive and now 54 is gone to be replaced by 39 which is a main contactor. When I tested it on direct 12V it sounds decidedly 'weak'. I conclude it was damaged when the inverter blew so next move is to replace it. That is going to be a lot of fun considering it's all the way under the front battery pack!

Happy New Year! Xmas holidays are a time to address some of those outstanding projects and the Miata finally made it to the top of the list. The new contactor enclosure and fuse box are now mounted and it just needs a 12v battery charge before I can start testing my work. I am hopeful to get mobile again in the next few days.

Dimable voltmeter lights!! Well, that means I can button up the interior. Now just have to get the negative side HV box finished.

I finally wired off the voltmeter light and it dims with the dash lights. Super happy to have figured that one out!

Once I finally managed to get the pins out of the heater control panel connector, it didn't take too long to wire up the light for the bolt meter. I connected there to take advantage of being able to dim the bulbs as part of the dash lighting. Super happy about that and behind the dash is SO tidy now!

Picked up my new radiator dress panel/fast charge plug bracket and it fits a treat. I'll get the side panels welded on and that will be another thing done!

Got a bit of time off for xmas and new year so its back to the car wiring! As usual, just taking it a circuit at a time and eventually it shall be done. It is really QUITE a mess at the moment though.

I picked up some braided cable wrap today and got the wiring for the USB charging sockets and the voltmeter tidied up. Now, if I can patch the two remaining wires into the heater panel loom, I should get the voltmeter lamp dimming with the rest of the dash lights.
