This is the conversation that is needed. Work around driver attitudes and behaviours is essential. And not just our young learner drivers. This is a problem across all age groups. It is interesting to note that in kapiti, as an example, people can walk on the beach and say hello to each other. But put them in a car and it's a rush to get where you want to go with little consideration of others. Slowing down at roundabouts, following distances and running red/yellow lights are also a concern. But that all comes down to attitudes and behaviours too.

Some important messages here. The laws are there for a reason. Your speed determines the outcome. Distracted drivers are less aware of their driving environment. Easy to say it won't happen to me, but I am sure almost everyone involved in a serious accident has thought that. We share the road with others.

Time to include a post here. I offer a quality driver training experience at competitive rates. I have extensive experience in education that has seen me as a preferred provider/facilitator for AA Driver Training's corporate work in the past. Therefore, either use my services as a one-stop shop for your driver training needs, or supplement lessons with other providers with my services. An example of that would be using AA's three free driving lessons (for AA members and their family members) with more affordable driving lessons through me. As I understand the AA way of their learner driver programme, lessons with me will compliment what you do with other providers. Based in Kapiti, I also provide lessons in the Porirua, Otaki and Levin areas, and can also provide my services in other areas subject to my availability. I am happy to discuss your needs with you and tailor pricing to suit where possible.

I have been involved with Driver Education for 4 years, and was licensed to AA Driver Training until the end of 2017. Now independent, I offer the same quality learning experiences as previous, but at competitive rates.

Found this and thought I'd share it. After starting under contract to AA, I now offer the same high level of taylored driving lessons at realistic prices. Primarily porirua kapiti and levin but other areas considered.

Great to get the following feedback, as well as feedback about one of the testing officers.
Hi Jim,

Just letting you know that I passed my restricted two days ago, and I leave for Brisbane tomorrow, to live. It went very well, Darren was a super nice guy, and very professional. I feel that I learnt a lot with you in our session, specifically because of your friendly and personable approach, so keep it up!
