Congratulations to Jackson Edlin, our October driver of the day. Jackson has been making the effort to attend our club days coming up from Wellington. It’s been a joy watching you race at KSM.

A massive thank you to Higgins Concrete for quite literally saving the day at Club Champs today.

An unexpected power cut put a bit of a spanner in the works, but Higgins Concrete came to the rescue with a generator so we could keep everything running and get Club Champs underway.

We really appreciate you stepping up at short notice and helping us out when we needed it. Another great example of local businesses supporting our club and our karting community.

Thank you, Higgins Concrete

We’re looking for sponsors for the WPKA Gold Star Series finale at KartSport Manawatu! 🏁
On 7 & 8 November, we’ll be welcoming drivers, teams and families from across the lower North Island ( and beyond )to Manawatu for the final round of the 2026 Gold Star Series.
We have opportunities for businesses to get involved at all levels:
Event Partner – $1,500
Class Partner – $300
Supporting Sponsor – $100
Or, if sponsorship isn’t quite the right fit, we’d also really appreciate products, vouchers, services or prizes to give away at prizegiving.
Own a business, work for one, or know someone who might be keen to get behind the event?
Email [email protected] and Maree will send through our sponsorship proposal and form with all the details.
Every bit of support helps us put on a great event and goes straight back into supporting grassroots karting.
Please share or tag a business that might be interested.

Club days don't just happen. They're run by volunteers who give up their time to plan the programme, set grids, sort officials and get the track ready. To do that well, we need to know who's coming, and we need enough entries to cover the cost of running the day.

Late entries make planning really hard for the small team behind the scenes. Entering early is one of the easiest ways to support your club and the people who make race day possible. It's also Club Champs, and it earns standard points in the KartSport Manawatu Points Series, so you won't want to miss it!

**Quick reminders:**

- Entry is $60 per class, paid when you enter
- One form per driver, per class. If you're entering more than one person, use "Add Person" to pay in one go
- Transponder hire is available for $20, subject to availability
- 1-day licences must be sorted through KartSport New Zealand separately

Don't wait. Enter now! 🏁

🏁 HAVE A GO AT KARTING

Ever wondered what it’s actually like to get behind the wheel of a kart? Our next Have a Go Day is Saturday 26 September, 9am–3pm at KartSport Manawatu.

Our Have a Go sessions are a great opportunity to experience karting for yourself and see if it’s the sport for you.

These sessions fill up fast, so if you’re keen, make sure you get in touch early. Mike, our Have a Go Coordinator, will help you with everything you need to know and getting your spot organised.

Find out more and get in touch through our website:

Or email [email protected]

Club members: please be aware the track will be unavailable for practice while the Have a Go Day is running. We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. These days are really important for introducing new people to karting and helping grow our sport.

Come down, give karting a go and see what all the fun is about.
