Proud to play a part in another important healthcare project.

This past week, our crane team was involved in lifting and placing the heavy modular units that will form Palmerston North Hospital's new CT facility.

Transported from Ohakune and placed during carefully coordinated lifting, these specialised modules required detailed planning, precision lifting, and collaboration between all teams on site.

Projects like these showcase the value of teamwork, expertise, and careful ex*****on, and we're proud to contribute to infrastructure that makes a real difference in our communities.

A big thank you to everyone involved in delivering this milestone.

We loved being part of the annual Palmerston North Christmas Parade. We enjoy having a few of our fleet join in as we take part in the local community. It was a wonderful sunny day full of festive spirits and friendly faces.

Panels going up today and real progress happening onsite. It's always great to see a job move ahead so smoothly especially when you've got the right people and gear in place.

McIntosh Cranes were on-site with the trucks, trailers and DEMAG AC-100 crane needed to get the panels delivered and installed safely.

Behind the controls was Gary Littlejohn, a calm and experienced operator who's been with McIntosh Cranes for nearly 20 years. If it involves trucks or cranes, there's a fair chance Gary’s done it.

Spotlight on the crane operator.

Dave is the person behind the controls of this PK 65002 at McIntosh Cranes. "He has a calm, professional manner and sharp eye for detail make even the most complicated lifts look effortless. Whether he’s working between buildings, lifting over rooftops, or navigating tight access jobs, Dave brings confidence, care, and consistency to every site he’s on".

The 65002 loader crane, fitted on a 10x4 Isuzu, is built for the big jobs with a 36m reach and the ability to lift 390kg at a 32.5m radius.
