Hoping everyone is managing to stay warm and dry!

We have had a lot of feedback recently that people are experiencing long repair wait times (2- 3 months or longer) before the repairs to their vehicle can be started or for a courtesy car to become available at other repair shops in town so I thought this would be a good opportunity to create this post.

Your insurer should give you a list of Panel beaters in your area (and may even recommended one based on which one is closer to your house but since Palmerston North is not very large, we recommend that you contact a few extra ones (including us) and enquire to see what the wait times are for work to be started. (Assuming parts are available)

And once you're happy with the one you want to go with, (Whether thats us or someone else), arrange for them to give you a quote and tell your insurance company who your preferred repair shop is that you have chosen. It's you're choice what shop you prefer to have your work completed based on who can support your needs with a courtesy car, suitable repair times and work quality.

And remember, if your chosen shop is a member of the CRA (Collision Repair Association) the association provides quality and safety assurance to customers by assuring its members are qualified and their work meets its own high standards. So don't feel like you have to go to a specific repairer and be forced to wait months. Hope this has been of some help.
