Last year Waste Management were given approx 6.5 million of taxpayer money to sort out the end-of-life tyre problem in New Zealand. When I enquired with Waste Management about getting our waste tyres removed from Quality Tyres, I was informed that Waste Management do NOT service the Manawatu region. There is only one other collector in the near vicinity who are based in Wellington and are too busy to come to Palmy to collect our tyres. I find it absurd that I cannot dispose of our waste tyres in a responsible manner. My question is; should I dump them at the Manawatu River or should I take them to the Beehive?

We're seeing a lot of damaged wheels and tyres lately due to massive pot-holes on the Saddle Road.

Higher bills are hitting Dannevirke residents hard as the Manawatu Gorge remains closed.

I just took this tyre off a tourist's vehicle. It wasn't punctured but it only had 6psi pressure. The young tourist had no idea her tyre was in such a state. Unbelievable.
