🎉 Celebrating 20 Years of the Ōtaki Boating Club! 🎉

Calling all past and present members, life members, supporters, and partners!

This year marks a special milestone for the Ōtaki Boating Club as we celebrate 20 years since the club was established in 2006. Over the past two decades, our club has brought together generations of boaties and anglers, hosted countless fishing competitions, shared plenty of stories and laughs, and built lasting friendships both on and off the water.

From our early days as a small group of passionate local boaties to becoming a well-respected club within the Kāpiti Coast community, the Ōtaki Boating Club has always been about camaraderie, a love of the sea, and supporting responsible recreational boating and fishing.

To celebrate this achievement, we're inviting everyone who has been part of the club's journey to join us for an afternoon of memories, catch-up conversations, and celebration.

📅 Sunday, 16 August 2026
🕐 From 12:00 PM
📍 The Family Hotel, Ōtaki
🍴 Free finger food provided
🍺 Cash bar – purchase your own beverages

Whether you were there at the beginning, joined somewhere along the way, or supported a partner who was involved, we'd love to see you there. Bring your stories, your photos, and your memories as we look back on 20 years of great fishing, great people, and great times.

Please share this post and help us spread the word to former members who may not be on social media.

Here's to the first 20 years—and the many more to come! 🚤🎣

Cold start for all the boats today but the fishing action soon warmed everyone up!

Bait, jigs, softbait all producing anywhere between 20-50m….good snaps and gurnard all round with plenty of kahawai workups.

With all this fishy activity it may be worth towing some plastic around 🤔
