With the weather the way it has been lately with heavy rain and strong winds, I’ve begun to wonder when I’ll get out in my boat again. Anyone thinking the same way?
In this down time, it’s a great time to check over your boat to make sure everything is okay.
Or even focus on upskilling.

• Give the engine a check over.
• Check the stern leg or shaft.
• Check for prop damage.
• Check the steering.
• Check the batteries.
• Check transom mount (on an outboard).
• Check oil level.
• Check fluid levels.
• Check gearcase for water.
• Check belts, cables, and hoses.
• Lubricate fittings and joints.
• Check lifejackets and flares.
• Check marine radio.
