Ever wondered how long a sealant lasts in real world conditions?

I detailed my own Honda towards the end of March, and over 6 months later, the water is still beading nicely!

It lives outside, gets washed every 1-2 weeks, and occasionally gets a spray wax before car shows. Despite all that exposure to the elements, the sealant is still doing its job.

I just love the variety of vehicles I get to work on. This WRX came in today for an Exterior Enhancement, giving it a bit more shine and making it easier to keep looking good.

I'm looking forward to taking some more photos of it at the next Cars & Coffee Taranaki!

Lost anything lately?

Chances are it could be under one of your seats. This is where the 'deep' cleaning comes in. Tidying up parts of the interior that you may not even know existed.

Luckily the rear seats in this car slide forward, making it much easier to get everything back out again.

Making a good first impression is important when you're running a business, and Patch knows that before he's even introduced himself to a new client, they've already seen his Ute pull up.

That's why I've given it a good polish and wax. Not only does it look shiny and presentable now, but it'll be much easier to keep clean each week too.

Always nice helping a mate get his work ute looking the part!

I had the pleasure of giving this Nissan Z it's yearly detail! This time round I've used a sealant which will last longer than the traditional wax I had been using last year.

Yes I can polish over your signwriting!

In fact it's better to get your vehicle polished after having vinyl applied as the signwriting won't stick to wax and will have to be removed beforehand.

It's always interesting detailing a car that spends a lot of time on the road. They usually show different signs of wear, such as extra tar, brown tyres and wheels caked in dirt.

It doesn't stop me from making it look good again though! This 300C will now be ready for the road ahead after decontaminating the paint and applying a good sealant on top to keep it looking good for longer.

It'll also be easier to keep clean between road trips.
