Solid, safe, conservative.

“Donn Anderson recalls the 15-year Kiwi love affair with the Triumph 2000/2500, a car that did better here than anywhere else in the world”

This example has sat still for more than 10 years and has aged as expected. Seeing them covered in dust and not having their slumber interrupted is always cool to see.

A project car for the workshop and one that we look forward to tearing down for a light refresh…. Possibly paint and some other goodies.

The Daffodil Rally for Cancer is back for Daffodil Day 2026! 🌼

What began as a few local rallies has grown into hundreds of vintage vehicles on the road and on display across Aotearoa New Zealand, bringing together communities, families and car enthusiasts to support the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer.

This year's rally for most locations will be held on Sunday 23 August, and everyone's welcome. Whether you're behind the wheel of a classic or just along for the ride, every dollar raised helps your local Cancer Society.

Smooth, effortless and quiet.

A lovely example of a Series III XJ6 and a great one to have here in the workshop. We are working our way through the rear end.

The independent rear end is housed within a fabricated subframe that allows it to be removed with relative ease. A brilliant design that was fitted to many Jaguar models from the likes of E-types through to S-types and XJ’s.

In my view these are a very well rounded classic. They can track along effortlessly but also put the power down when required.

The granddaddy of luxury 4wd performance.

This Range Rover classic was sat still for more than a decade and it was great to work through our recommissioning process to get this lightweight, aluminium bodied v8 machine out of the shed and back on the road.

Iconic rugged design that was produced for almost 40 years, from 69-96 making it among the longest production runs of any car model. With the first 11 years being only available in a 3 door version.

Referred to by Rover as “A car for all reasons” due to its off road capability, performance and towing capacity of 3.5tons.

Luxury is certainly relative, but it was much better than a Land Rover!

Making sure they have plenty more miles ahead of them.

A great start to the week for us. We know how fortunate we are to spend our days doing what we love, and we’re grateful to everyone who continues to trust us with their cars.

Plenty more to come!

The beauty of a worn motorsport machine.

BMW E46 M3 CSL, the stripped back homologation special released in the early 2000’s.
One of BMW’s purest.

This car was built up to take on New Zealand’s premier gravel and road rally events. A smart machine at the time, that still holds its own today.

We have been very fortunate having this car in our workshop and we’re almost ready to fire her into life once again.

Newly built S54 engine back where it belongs. Videos to follow…

Deceptively simple.

This Triumph 2500TC was sent to us with a clear goal in mind. Fast road! But well behaved. We begin with a very original car, a true blank canvas.

The planning for this one has been smooth, simply because the owner truely understands what he was after.

Cylinder head work, camshaft grind, larger 1”3/4 SU’s, extractors, suspension package, wheels/tyres and plenty more. This will be a great spirited driving car that will perform very well.

Stick along for the journey, plenty more to come with this one.
