Wowser! It’s a Bowser
Have you ever wondered why a fuel pump is called a 'bowser'? You can thank Sylvanus F. Bowser for that!

Way back in 1885, Sylvanus invented the device to dispense kerosene (paraffin) at a grocery store in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

His invention was such a hit that his name stuck fast. That is why some Kiwis and Aussies still refer to fuel pumps as ‘bowsers’ today.

STRANGE BUT TRUE! A Car That Runs Like Clockwork...

Forget the nineteenth century. The drive for a self-moving car started way back in 1649.

In Nuremberg, Germany, master craftsman Hans Hautsch unveiled something wild: a magnificent clockwork carriage.

This machine wasn't powered by steam or petrol, but by sheer mechanical genius: a massive arrangement of intricate gears and springs.

Think of it as the world’s most luxurious wind-up toy designed to carry passengers. It was slow and impractical, yet it was the first real-world example of personal motorised transport.

STRANGE BUT TRUE!

Volkswagen's Other Production Line 🌭
When you think of Volkswagen’s top-selling product, you probably picture a Golf or a Passat. Think again. For many years, the company's biggest seller was not a car at all, but a tasty pork sausage known as the Currywurst.

Produced by in-house butchers at the Wolfsburg factory since 1973, it is served in canteens and sold in German supermarkets.

This commitment to quality is so official that the sausage even has its own genuine Volkswagen Part Number: 199 398 500 A; proving that great German engineering extends well beyond the engine bay.

Is it a coffee? Is it a caramel milkshake? NO! Its what water in your transmission looks like! If your transmission oil looks like this, you need to see us asap.
Water leads to a range of issues that can significantly impact the performance of the transmission system. The presence of water in transmission fluid reduces its lubricating properties, causing increased friction and wear on transmission components. This can result in poor gear shifting, slipping gears, and ultimately, transmission failure. Potentially, the longer you leave it, the more costly it will be repair.
