Most people go to the rugby and buy hot chips, Mayor Hon Dr Nick Smith left with a new BYD!

Nick approached BYD Nelson The Car Company's Managing Director, Shane Drummond after a Tasman Mako game where BYD Nelson had a range of BYD's displayed. Nick helped drive the Atto 1 back to our showroom on Rutherford St. After a follow up test drive and some careful consideration, he decided to push go and order a 'Nelson' blue BYD Atto 1 EV. Nick has been an early supporter of electric transport for years and purchased his first EV back in 2008 which only had 80km range! This new Atto 1 with BYD's Blade Battery and 320km range will serve Nick's needs well and bring him into the future of EV driving.
