Every river trip tells a story, and every river run logged helps protect the future of jet boating in New Zealand.

When councils and other authorities review speed upliftings, river access, or resource consents, they’re increasingly asking one simple question:

“How many people actually use this river?”

If we can’t answer that with real data, it becomes much harder to justify keeping our rivers open for recreational jet boating. In some cases, decisions are even made without considering jet boaters at all.

That’s why the JBNZ River Run Log is so important.

It only takes a minute to record where you boated, when you were there, and roughly how many boats and people attended. You don’t even have to include your name, but every single entry helps build the evidence that our rivers are being used and enjoyed by New Zealand jet boaters. The more data we have, the stronger our voice becomes when we’re advocating for river access and speed upliftings.

Whether it’s a club run or just a Sunday mission with a couple of mates, please take a moment to log your trip.

Every run counts. Every log strengthens our future.

Barnardos Active Dad’s Day, a favourite charity that our branch supports.
Huge thanks to our drivers, Dean, Jason, Hamish, Rowan, Hilton, Ollie and Andy.
Also our shore support, Liz, Deidre, Sarah and Mike.
This crew produced another amazing day for Dad’s and their kids, with the great staff of Barnardos supplying everyone with lunch.
Huge shout out to Mitre 10, Thornhill and Henderson’s, thanks for your support.
As for the ladies of the group that went for their mid winter dip, MAD!

Hi All
Our annual charity run on the Wairau will be on Sunday 21st June.
Barnardos are very excited we have committed to continuing this annual event despite the rise in fuel costs.
I certainly consider this as one of the clubs outstanding services to the community alongside the Big Brothers, Big Sisters run in Nelson
The boaters who have been kind enough to support this event over the years will contest to the huge pleasure the kids and Dad's, less fortunate than ourselves, derive from this event.

As per usual, river conditions will dictate where the launching will be and this will be notified in the week leading up to the event
BBQ is booked, and Barnardos will be supplying lunch to us all
Bring as many lifejackets as you have, all clearly labelled.
