Really enjoyed watching this short doco about Trek bikes. As a new rider in the early 1990's I can remember loving my Trek's. I've owned 3 and still love my Trek Fuel ex 9.9 2018 model. Really can't fault it for what I do.

Italian design mixed with Chinese manufacturing lead to broken plastic fairings, including snapped tabs that hold it together. Split plastic repaired with carbon fibre, and fairing resprayed to perfection. Definitely a challenging job, but it’s come up perfect! It’s an excercise in lateral thinking (with a truckload of patience)

Finished this classic Surfski today that needed lots of small repairs, ranging from split seams, holes in deck and hull to fin re shaped and repaired. Handle re attached in a better position and more.

It’s not a new boat by any stretch of the imagination… but looks like it’s paddled in the fountain of youth!

I find this kind of work very rewarding.

A good weekend to get some edge seams on these Surfskis. Well used boats need a bit of a birthday every now and then. I’m personally a fan of the light grey edge seam.

Finishing touches went on the river kayak today. Pretty special boat this one! Total transformation.

Another river kayak restoration almost finished. Re glassed hull with new spray job. Edge seams finished and decals going on this week. It’s a Sharp 6 model built by the legendary Andrew Martin.

Don’t let a crack in your bottom bracket ruin your fav bike. This one has done some serious miles but has plenty more to go! Gave it a birthday tidy up aswell.

Here’s a mtb repair / full respray job for a happy owner in Queenstown. He texted me the assembled pics today. Pretty stoked with the colour scheme. It now matches his road bike. This bike gets ridden on the snow!
