This Wednesday we will be closed for trading and back on Thursday!.

The team at Napier south mechanical are on board helping out setup for the annual Cold Kahuna where us mad buggers ride scooters from Napier to ohakune through the Taihape Rd. Usually this is done for various charities throughout hawkes bay but this year we are doing the "world's worst wellness retreat".

Gives us time to save those spare coins to give to charity when we ride to wellington in march.

Not only do we make sure your vehicles are safe and ready for the road, we have an awesome social group as well !. I'm sure all of you are well aware of the tuk tuks we have parked out front most days by now. We might be on the other side of the world but they sure know how to pick up parts and even drop off those customers that wish to take the ride !.

Not all rides are organised weeks in advance, some are off the cuff, sporadic ventures which soak up the sun and seize the day. Here’s to one of those, cheers for the company. See y’all on the road, toot and wave.

On Saturday morning at 6:45am the three amigos and 320 odd other mad buggers set off from Mitre 10 New Zealand Napier store to ride scooters all the way to Wellington for Men's mental health.

She was a rough start with the tuk tuk breaking down twice before we even got to waipawa (typical for a mechanics vehicle) after that it was smooth sailing, losing one of us to a wedding in grey town, few stops for snags and refreshments we came rolling into wellington at around 4:30pm, it was a long day!.

All n all we had a great time like every other year, met some amazing people and that icing on the cake, we got to raise $137,000 and still rising !.

I want to thank everyone for their support, the lads that helped me get the steed ready for the ride and the organizers Jolly Good Chaps Charitable Trust for putting the hard yaka in every year to make these things happen, You guys rock!.

Napier south mechanical is expanding!.
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic mechanic to join the team.

Currently we are a one stop shop anything from:
Cars, utes, trailers, light trucks and motorcycles.
Wofs
Fleet work
Engine servicing
Transmission servicing
Repairs
Tyres and wheel alignments
Air con
And much much more.

We are after someone that's happy to come in and do the hard yards, work the hours paid but be rewarded accordingly with the effort put in. Wof ticket is ideal but not essential.

More than welcome to send in your cv or call us but you will stand out from the rest if you come in, show your face and have a good old fashioned chat about why you would be an asset to the team of a well known, reputable business here in Napier.

There is also an opening for someone that would be more office orientated that can come in answer phones, see customers, sort out the admin side of things but also has a mechanical background to be able to help with light duties when needed.

Here at Napier south mechanical we are all about supporting local. Every year 300 odd mad buggers ride 50cc scooters from Napier to wellington for one good reason. Raise money for local charities through the jolly good chaps charitable trust, but lliam and a couple others thought "once a year is not enough for some!" So we created a group over a year ago called Hawkes bay mopeds which does a ride once a month as well!. This group is to get like minded people together, discuss fundraising, join Christmas parades plus support local restaurants and bars (plus side to that is a refreshing b**r accompanied by a nice meal!).

So free up your calendar and come along on the craziest trip you will do all year and ride to wellington for a good cause, if you can't jump on the link below and donate a dollar or ten to help those in need.

She was an absolute pearla of a day for a ride. So what did 40 of us do on scooters ? Go for a 120km ride ! Huge shout out to everyone who came today was a good warm up ride before the big Jolly Good Chaps Charitable Trust riding to wellington for local hawkes bay Charities. Pester those mates of yours to jump on board, sign up on the website and start fundraising that $$$ to go to a good cause.
